Icecast Setup in RadioBoss

  1. Open RadioBoss and go to Settings > Broadcast.
  2. Click Add to create a new broadcast connection.
  3. Set Server Type to Icecast 2.
  4. Set Server to source.fixedbit.stream
  5. Set Port to 9000
  6. Set Mount Point to /your-mount
  7. Set User to source and Password to your-password
  8. Under Encoder, choose MP3 at 128 kbps, 44100 Hz, Stereo.
  9. Click OK to save. Enable the broadcast connection to go live.

ShoutCast Setup in RadioBoss

  1. Open RadioBoss and go to Settings > Broadcast.
  2. Click Add to create a new broadcast connection.
  3. Set Server Type to SHOUTcast v1.
  4. Set Server to source.fixedbit.stream
  5. Set Port to 9001
  6. Set Password to your-password
  7. Set encoder to MP3 at 128 kbps, 44100 Hz, Stereo.
  8. Click OK and enable the broadcast connection.

Test Your Stream

Open VLC Media Player and go to Media > Open Network Stream. Enter:

http://your-stream.fixedbit.stream/stream

If you hear your audio, your stream is working correctly.

Set the Land Audio URL in Second Life

  1. In Second Life, right-click the ground on your parcel and select About Land.
  2. Go to the Sound tab.
  3. In the Music URL field, paste: http://your-stream.fixedbit.stream/stream
  4. Close the dialog. Visitors with streaming music enabled will hear your stream.
